Picture Taking

After going to the park with our class and discovering that our camera malfunctioned, we had to delay our picture taking. But I and another one of my classmates (Cherish) went to Balboa Park again after school.

I discovered that finding the perfect person, the perfect situation, the perfect scene is in fact far more difficult that I ever imagined. Whenever I set up to take a photo I like, the person in the frame always moves, or somehow the picture becomes something I never intended. Photography is an art that can be simple and precise, but a simple change in lighting or in expression can completely change the tone, mood and aspect of the photo, in turn changing the meaning of the art piece.

It was a challenge to take all 24 pictures, and more than once I was tempted to give up and go home. But I chose instead to wait it out and look for a picture that truly meant something.
